Injection Molding Process Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Injection Molding Process Engineer to join our team of manufacturing experts. As an Injection Molding Process Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing our plastic injection molding processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process issues, develop and implement process enhancements, and ensure smooth production operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in plastic injection molding process optimization and troubleshooting
- In-depth knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, and processing parameters
- Familiarity with process validation methodologies and quality control practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and fine-tune injection molding machines, including determining optimal process parameters
- Monitor and analyze process performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement process optimization strategies
- Troubleshoot process issues, including part defects, cycle time reduction, and tooling-related challenges
- Collaborate with tooling engineers and mold maintenance technicians to ensure molds are in optimal condition
- Conduct process validations, including IQ, OQ, and PQ activities
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration on process-related matters
