Mold Design Engineer
We are seeking a talented Mold Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality molds for plastic injection molding. As a Mold Design Engineer, you will use your expertise in CAD software and mold design principles to create efficient and reliable molds. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure molds meet design specifications, manufacturability requirements, and production targets.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in mold design for plastic injection molding
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mold design
- Knowledge of mold flow analysis software (e.g., Moldflow) is a plus
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and quality requirements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
Job Responsibilities
- Design molds for plastic injection molding using CAD software
- Consider factors such as part geometry, material flow, cooling systems, and ejection mechanisms in mold design
- Collaborate with injection molding process engineers to optimize mold designs for efficient production
- Conduct mold flow analysis to ensure proper material flow and identify potential issues
- Work closely with tooling engineers and mold maintenance technicians to address mold-related challenges
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise on mold design concepts
- Ensure compliance with design standards, industry regulations, and quality requirements
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in mold design technologies and methodologies
